The following constitutes General Contest Rules for all Media Ministries, Inc. (“88.7 The Cross”) contests, both on and off-air. By participating in any 88.7 The Cross contest, participants agree to be bound by the following rules. If you do not agree to these Contest Rules, do not participate in a Media Ministries contest.

AGE REQUIREMENTS

• All Media Ministries contests are open to any/all 88.7 The Cross listeners who are U.S. residents and age eighteen (18) years or older, unless otherwise specified by 88.7 The Cross or its promotional affiliates.

CONDITIONS

• There is no purchase necessary to enter or win an 88.7 The Cross contest. Contests are void where prohibited.
• The odds of receiving a prize from 88.7 The Cross will depend on the number of qualified entries submitted in each contest. Only one (1) qualifier per household will be accepted.
• Only one (1) prize per household within any sixty (60) day period will be awarded. Employees and Board Members of Media Ministries, Inc. (88.7’s parent company), its program sponsors, and members of the immediate family of any such persons are not eligible to participate and win.

PERMISSIONS

• By participating, all participants and winner(s) grant 88.7 The Cross exclusive permission to use their names, characters, photographs, voices, and likenesses in connection with the promotion of this and other contests, advertising, or broadcast materials and waive any claims to royalty, right, or remuneration for such use. Additionally, the winner agrees to sign a prize release form before the acceptance of their prize. All contest entries become the sole property of 88.7 The Cross.
• 88.7 The Cross may retain any or all contest materials for any reason the station’s management deems crucial to the completion of the contest, or for reasons relating to publicity or advertising.

TRANSFERABILITY & TAXES

• All prizes are non-transferable. Contests are void where prohibited by law. No cash substitution of prizes allowed.
• All taxes are the responsibility of the winner. Contest winners will be asked to sign a release before acceptance of any prize valued at $600.00 or greater. Any valuation of a prize is based on available information provided to 88.7 The Cross, and the value of any prize awarded to a winner may be reported for tax purposes as required by law. If the prize requires the filing of a 1099 form, winners must show a valid Social Security Card with proper identification to pick up the prize.
• If the winner is under 18 years of age, the legal parent/guardian, of the winner will receive the prize and complete appropriate paperwork, provided they have proper identification.

CLAIMS

• By participating, each participant and winner waives and releases any and all claims of liability against 88.7 The Cross, its officers, directors, employees, and agents, for any and all claims, demands, and/or causes of action of any kind, foreseen or unforeseen, including but not limited personal injury or financial loss, which arises out of or results from the participant’s participation in the contest, or from the use of any prize. If required by 88.7 The Cross or its promotional affiliates, winners must sign a liability release prior to receiving their prize.

PRIZE DISTRIBUTION & DELIVERABILITY

• All prizes and prize certificates must be picked up at the 88.7 The Cross studios located at 130 Art Alley, Monroe, LA 71201 between 9:00 am and 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday (except holidays). Please call prior to pick up to let us know when you plan on arriving.
• For prizes that have specific expiration dates or are date sensitive (ie. concert tickets), which may occur within the ten (10) days following the winning date, it is the responsibility of the winner to pick up the prize by the event or expiration date.
• All prizes expire within one (1) calendar year of receipt except those with a specific expiration date listed on the prize or are date-sensitive (ie. concerts).
• Upon pick-up of the prize, proper picture identification (i.e. valid driver’s license or passport) from the winner is required.
• The winner will forfeit any prize or certificate not claimed within ten (10) days of winning unless other arrangements are agreed to by the Listener Engagement Director. It is the winner’s responsibility to claim their prize within the time limit.
• At certain times, winners may be instructed by 88.7 The Cross or its promotional affiliates to pick up their prize at a separate location (i.e. concert tickets may be picked up at a will-call window). Upon request, 88.7 The Cross will provide instructions and pick-up times to winners.
• If the prize is to be mailed, it is the responsibility of the winner to provide 88.7 The Cross with a current and correct mailing address. Prizes will be mailed within thirty (30) calendar days after winning the prize or at the discretion of 88.7 The Cross. Media Ministries is not responsible for, nor obligated to replace, any lost, stolen, or damaged prize sent through the U.S. Mail.
• 88.7 The Cross will not notify winners of the time remaining on their prize. It is the responsibility of the winner to claim the prize within the ten (10) day time frame. All unclaimed prizes after ten (10) days will automatically be forfeited.
• Under unique circumstances, a representative designated by the winner will be allowed to accept the prize for him or her. Written authorization from the winner, including the representative’s name, ID, and a photocopy of the winner’s valid driver’s license is required.
• In the event that a winner voluntarily chooses to not accept a prize, he/she automatically forfeits all claims to that prize. 88.7 The Cross then has the right, but not the obligation, to award that prize to a contest runner-up.

SUBSTITUTIONS

• 88.7 The Cross may substitute another prize of equal value in the event of non-availability of a prize.
• 88.7 The Cross is not responsible for replacing any prizes after they have been picked up, whether the prize was lost, the organization providing the prize has closed, or for any other reason.
• 88.7 The Cross is not responsible for defective prizes.

PARTICIPATION

• Participants are restricted to the use of ordinary telephone equipment. 88.7 The Cross is not responsible for the inability of a participant to complete or continue a telephone call due to any technical or equipment malfunction, busy lines, inadvertent disconnections, or acts beyond 88.7 The Cross’ control. 88.7 The Cross disclaims all liability for delays, misdelivery, loss, or failure in the delivery of any item sent by mail, courier, express, electronic transmission, or other delivery method.
• 88.7 The Cross is not responsible for mechanical, technical, electronic, communications, telephone, computer, hardware, or software malfunctions or failures of any kind including failed, incomplete, garbled, or delayed transmission of online entries, traffic congestion on telephone lines, the Internet or at any website or lost or unavailable network connections which may limit an online entrant’s ability to participate in the contest, and any injury or damage to entrant’s or any other person’s computer related to or resulting from participating in or downloading any information necessary to participate in this contest.
• Listeners may also register to win prizes on the radio station website or app. Winners of the various contests are chosen randomly from all eligible entries. 88.7 The Cross is not responsible for entries not received due to difficulty accessing the internet, service outages or delays, computer difficulties, or other technological glitches. All online entries must be filled out completely.
• To enter online, you must enter your first name and last name, complete address, city, state, zip code, home telephone number valid email address, and any other requested information in the online entry form. One internet entry per person. Internet entries will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the email address submitted at the time of entry. The authorized account holder is the natural person who is assigned to the email address by an internet access provider, online service provider, or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses or the domain associated with the submitted email address.
• 88.7 The Cross, in its sole discretion, reserves the right to disqualify any person for tampering with the entry process, or the operation of Media Ministries websites or is otherwise in violation of the rules. It further reserves the right to cancel, terminate, or modify the contest if it is not capable of completion as planned including infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorized intervention, or technical failures of any kind.
• For contests that require qualification, listeners may qualify only once, unless otherwise specified.
• In regards to special advanced movie screening giveaways, Media Ministries strongly recommends you arrive early. At the theater, seating is on a first-come, first-served basis. Passes do not guarantee seating. No one will be admitted without a ticket and no one will be admitted after the screening begins. A radio station representative has the right to refuse admittance.
• If the winner of a contest that involves travel cannot take the trip on the specific dates that have been announced, they will forfeit their prize.
• Contests conducted at facilities with an age requirement of 21 years of age or older, shall exclude participants who cannot prove they meet the age requirement.
• Contestants are subject to and responsible for federal, state, and local taxes for all prizes received. A W-9 is required to be filled out and submitted to Media Ministries by the prize winner for all prizes valued above $499. A 1099 will be issued by Media Ministries for prizes valued at $600 or above.

88.7 The Cross contest judges or Station Management will retain sole discretion in matters relating to all Media Ministries’ contests. Media Ministries, Inc. reserves the right to disqualify anyone if contest rules are not followed. 88.7 The Cross may amend the rules or discontinue the contest at any time.
