Brown Bag 2026 October Concert Series

We’ve got the soundtrack; all you have to do is relax and enjoy!

Enjoy a month of free, live music for the public every Wednesday for the month of October! Bring your lunch, a lawn chair or blanket, and enjoy great local music outdoors! Free drinks and cookies will be available while supplies last.

Here’s the lineup:

  • October 7 – Clay LaBeff: Kick off the series with regional singer/songwriter Clay LaBeff, known for his rich baritone voice, rockin’ country guitar, and heartfelt original songs rooted in everyday life.
  • October 14 – Southern Grace: Enjoy the beautiful harmonies and standout vocals of local favorite Southern Grace, featuring Rhonda Black, Donna McLaughlin, and Cathy Hutto.
  • October 21 – Josh Madden: Award-winning musician, producer, and teacher Josh Madden brings his eclectic influences and laid-back style to the series with a unique blend of rock, soul, and piano-driven music.
  • October 28 – Tammy Martin: West Monroe native Tammy Martin closes out the October series with her soulful, bluesy sound and a mix of blues, pop/rock, country, and oldies.

Harvest & Health Fair

Fresh Food, Wellness Checks & Family Resources- all in one stop!

The Louisiana Department of Health is hosting a Harvest & Health Fair where families can shop for fresh, locally grown produce from Big Daddy Farms, connect with local organizations offering valuable community resources, and learn more about public health programs and services available to families. ULM nursing students will also be on hand to provide blood pressure checks.

Big Daddy Farms accepts SNAP/EBT, and shoppers using Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) benefits can ask about Greaux the Good, a program that can help stretch benefit dollars by providing twice as many fruits and vegetables. Not sure whether your benefits qualify? The market team can help you find out.

Whether you’re looking to stretch your grocery budget, find helpful resources, check in on your health, or bring home fresh produce for dinner, stop by the Harvest & Health Fair and discover what’s available to help your family thrive. Pickleball Tournament | CCS Baseball Fundraiser

Grab your paddles and get ready for a fun day of pickleball!

Come join the fun and support Claiborne Christian Baseball! This all-ages tournament features three divisions: Juniors (12 & under), Intermediate, and Advanced. Cash prizes will be awarded for 1st place, with prizes for 2nd and 3rd place. Concessions will also be available. The tentative start time is 9:00 AM. This could change depending on the number of teams registered.

Early registration discount! Register by October 12th for just $50 per team. The final registration deadline is Monday, October 19th, with the regular registration fee of $60 per team.
