The Vicksburg–Tallulah Regional Airport, in partnership with the Southern Heritage Air Foundation, NASA, and NASA Astro Camp Community Partners, will host a full‑day Pi Day Celebration featuring aviation experiences, NASA STEM activities, and vintage vehicles. The event includes a Vintage Car Show, Large‑Scale R/C Aircraft Demonstrations, aircraft static displays, plane rides for purchase, flight simulators, museum tours, food trucks, face painting, and a dedicated NASA STEM Activity Zone with hands‑on learning and prizes.

ADMISSION:

  • $10 Adults
  • $5 Ages 6–12
  • Children 5 & under FREE
  • $10 Car Show Registration Fee

This event is for residential use only (no business waste) and provides a safe way for households to dispose of hazardous items that should not be placed in regular trash.

Accepted items include:
aerosol cans, antifreeze, batteries, light bulbs, cardboard, cell phones, clothing, computers, cooking oil, dishwashers, dryers, epoxy, fire extinguishers, freezers, freon tanks, furniture, glass bottles and jars, helium tanks, household chemicals, mercury, monitors, motor oil, paint (latex and oil-based – limit 10 gallons per household), paper, pesticides, plastics (#1 and #2), pool chemicals, prescription drugs, printers, propane tanks (BBQ style), refrigerators, scrap metal, sharps containers, smoke detectors, stains, stoves, TVs, varnishes, washers, and waterproofing sealants.

Additional services:
Document shredding: limit 3 boxes per household
Tire recycling: up to 5 tires per household (no rims)

Prohibited items:
ammunition, compressed gas cylinders, explosives, mattresses, plastic bags, plumbing fixtures, pool liners, radioactive material, Styrofoam, and water hoses.

3rd Annual Point Community Egg Hunt!

Four churches from surrounding areas have partnered with one another to bring a FREE, fun event to the local community. There will be games, a ‘Cool Bean’ food truck with lemonade and coffee, a Ward 5 Firetruck, a local ambulance and a police car for kids to checkout, a bubble booth, an inflatable jumper, face painting, volleyball, and of course an egg hunt!
