Brenda’s story is powerful. She’s a survivor—clean from addiction for 17 years thanks only to the power of the Holy Spirit. After overdosing, Jesus literally brought her back to life. She knows what it means to lose, to grieve, to fight through pain—and she doesn’t shy away from any of it. Brenda has walked through divorce and the loss of both parents to cancer, and through it all, she’s learned to trust God deeply.
Her mission now is to get real about the hard stuff—to talk about it, invite God into it, and help others do the same. Because healing begins in honesty, and there’s no time to waste. Brenda wants to empower you to believe again, to hope again, and to keep going—because you’re not alone. And God is not done with your story.

Brenda is so excited to spend time with you on The Cross! Her joy comes straight from the Lord, and every morning she’s ready to share that joy with you. Whether through stories or devotionals, Brenda has a gift for speaking right to the worries, anxieties, and struggles of your heart—while pointing you to the strength and faithfulness of God. Her mission is simple: to remind you that God is with you.
Brenda shares her life with two fur-kids—Izzy, her best friend (a pup with personality!), and Jake the cat, who she lovingly calls their landlord. She’s all about hiking, water aerobics, and has her eye on trying pickleball soon. Brenda says coffee is her love language, especially when paired with God’s Word.
Her heart beats for ministry, especially among the homeless community. She leads chapel and builds relationships with people many overlook—but God never does.
After years in full-time radio, Brenda stepped out in faith. At 50, she returned to school to pursue a degree in Ministerial Leadership through Southeastern University. She graduated Magna Cum Laude and is now finishing her Bachelor’s—living proof that with God, all things are possible!
