
This event is for residential use only (no business waste) and provides a safe way for households to dispose of hazardous items that should not be placed in regular trash.
Accepted items include:
aerosol cans, antifreeze, batteries, light bulbs, cardboard, cell phones, clothing, computers, cooking oil, dishwashers, dryers, epoxy, fire extinguishers, freezers, freon tanks, furniture, glass bottles and jars, helium tanks, household chemicals, mercury, monitors, motor oil, paint (latex and oil-based – limit 10 gallons per household), paper, pesticides, plastics (#1 and #2), pool chemicals, prescription drugs, printers, propane tanks (BBQ style), refrigerators, scrap metal, sharps containers, smoke detectors, stains, stoves, TVs, varnishes, washers, and waterproofing sealants.
Additional services:
• Document shredding: limit 3 boxes per household
• Tire recycling: up to 5 tires per household (no rims)
Prohibited items:
ammunition, compressed gas cylinders, explosives, mattresses, plastic bags, plumbing fixtures, pool liners, radioactive material, Styrofoam, and water hoses.
