You might be fun-loving and outgoing – or maybe just looking for a place to connect with other people who are trying to make our community a better place to live. Whether helping around an office or making a community event or concert a success, your gifts and talents can make a difference at 88.7 The Cross!
As an Official KBMQ Volunteer, you’ll be the first to find out about concerts and events coming to Monroe and have the chance to get free admission by helping us out! You’ll also have opportunities to get CDs, DVDs, t-shirts, concert tickets, and even exclusive meet and greets with some of your favorite artists! But, more than that, you’ll get the chance to make a difference in the lives of people in Northeast Lousiana as KBMQ gets out to help around the area! So…make a difference…starting today!
Here’s how it works: Head on over to our “Volunteer Registration” page and sign up! Then, whenever we have an event coming up, we’ll e-mail you. You can also join our Facebook page or follow us on Twitter to keep up-to-date with everything we have going on in the community! Reply back and you and a guest* will get in to the concert for free. Some of the areas we frequently need help in are merchandising, hospitality, and runners for concerts, our annual fundraisers, as well as Saturday outreaches throughout the community in support of other ministries. We’ll also make available special prizes from time to time, like meet and greets, concert tickets, gift certificates and more!
*Guest ticket based on availability
Being an official volunteer for KBMQ can earn you rewards in a variety of different ways. Here are some of the areas we frequently require help in. Other opportunities may arise from time to time, but these are the most reoccurring.
Sharathon is your opportunity to be part of what God is doing through the ministry of KBMQ to reach the lost and hurting that are looking for answers and to comfort, and to support those who have found the truth of the Gospel. God has been our provider and we have faith that He will continue to use this ministry to impact the lives of people in this area and surrounding communities. We’re always in need of phone volunteers during our annual spring fundraiser, Sharathon. It’s a fun and easy opportunity to be a part of what’s happening at KBMQ! If you’re comfortable talking with people over the phone, we’d love to hear from you! You can sign up by yourself, with a friend, or even sign up as a small group! We really are Stronger. Together.
You would be be amazed at how many prayer requests we take here at 88.7 The Cross, and it’s not surprising considering the world we live in and the suffering that people experience everyday. We are constantly in need of prayer partners to monitor our website “Pray for Me” section, as well as special prayer requests and needs that we take here through phone calls and mail. Our listeners pray for one another, and we could use your help to fill the gaps of time between prayers.
88.7 concerts and events are such a huge success because of word of mouth. You are the best form of advertising our station can utilize and we want to reward you for your efforts. Anytime we have fliers available for concerts, we’ll let you know and you can come by the station to pick up a stack to hand out. Hang them up at your schools, your work place, churches, supermarkets, or anywhere else that it can be publicly displayed and we’ll give you a free CD for helping us out! Just e-mail us and let us know where you hung your fliers (and be sure to get permission before you hang them). Get creative and we’ll dish out bonus prizes! So place it in your church bulletin, paint a giant banner to hang at school, get a tattoo across your face… well, better make it a temporary! The more creative we find it, the bigger the reward. Just send a picture of your creative idea to firstname.lastname@example.org.
