Random Act of Loving “Concert”

I have been listening, along with my son, to the Matthew West concert advertisements since 88.7 The Cross started broadcasting them. My son said, “Mom I want to go see him….I love his music.” This was very important to me as my husband and I have only been living our lives for God since last August.

We only listen to the Cross. However, there was a time we did not and made a bad choice to take our son to a local country music concert that should have had adult content rating! My son has always had a calling on his life and it is my responsibility to make sure that I supply him with the tools he needs to become what God has called him to be. Anyway….I said all of that to say this. We have fallen on some hard times financially and had some unexpected money issues. (I realize the tickets are very cheap but when you don’t have it, it’s a bunch!) While I was getting dressed to go to work this morning, I was listening to the Cross as always. I was envisioning myself calling the radio station and hearing Jeremiah say…. We are giving you free tickets! lol Embarrassing as it is sometimes, we do not have the $40.00 we need for the tickets. We have to first pay our tithes, pay our bills, and buy groceries, not to mention sports fees, school fees, so on. So…..I told God, Lord if you want us to go, You will have to make a way. Well, I got to work and looked at my checkbook again and there is NO way we are going to that concert. I have to break my son’s heart.

My boss comes in and walks up to me and hands me a beautiful small pocket purse and said she appreciates the job I am doing for her! She had spent two weeks in the Mediterranean and bought all of the ladies in the office one. Well I am thrilled!! A gift just for me! No, it was so much more. She walked away not knowing what is about to happen……

I opened the purse and my heart exploded. A small bottle of perfume and a TWENTY dollar bill!! No, wait, TWO twenty dollars bills! $40.00. Not a penny more, not a penny less.

I could not hold back the tears. She did not even know how God had used her to bless my family. He made a way just as He always does! I called my husband crying because God had made his presence known to me in a way that I could not describe. This is a miracle for me. It’s more than the money.

He showed me that He is listening and wants to bless us. Zach will now be going to see Matthew West!

Now, THAT was a God thing!!!! And an act of random kindness!
