THANK YOU for an INCREDIBLE outpouring of GENEROSITY during SHARATHON last month!
The overall show of faithful and sacrificial support for 88.7 The Cross was both humbling and amazing. Even though it was a tremendous outpouring of generosity, we did fall just short of the need, and the transmitter installation project has yet to be funded. I have seen time and again how NELA rallies to ensure that local Christian radio is funded so that the Gospel can be proclaimed over our community day and night, and we can be the hands and feet of Jesus Christ whenever God presents us with a need we can meet. You made a lasting impact.
There are a couple of things I am hoping you can do. First, when you receive your monthly email update, please double check the your information and make sure that it is all accurately listed. If there is anything wrong at all, please call 1-318-387-1230 (that is our office number) or email April so she can correct it immediately (April@test.887thecross.com).
Second, I’d ask you to pray that God provides that final 7% of our ministry’s need for this year. It is VITAL that we continue the work, and real ministry has a real cost. We are exceptionally cautious to be sensitive to only ask for what we need, and falling even a little short can make fulfilling our mission challenging. I know that I can count on you to pray, and fulfill your commitment to give, so that more will know Him, and that those who already know, will know Him more. If you believe God is leading you to give toward that 7% – you haven’t missed out yet. Your tax deductible donation could be the one that is needed to help cross the finish line.
Thanks to everyone that prayed, volunteered, and gave to help meet the budgeted need. We’re also incredibly grateful for the businesses that donated to feed our awesome volunteers:
- Baker Boutique
- Chicken Express
- The Corner Coffeehouse
- The Daily Press
- Fox’s Pizza Den
- Jimmy Johns
- Lea’s of LeCompte
- McAlister’s Deli
- Raising Canes
- Southern Mixing Pot
- Sweet Tea’s
- The Warehouse
This letter shows the impact your support has on people who rely on 88.7 The Cross staying on the air:
“I just want to say that 88.7 The Cross lifts me up so much. In the last few years I’ve had lots of problems. I got incarcerated, it was the very first time I went to church and prayed and asked God to give me peace. It was like a ton of bricks were lifted off my shoulder. Music started playing and I loved it. So now that I am out, all I listen to is Christian music and 88.7 The Cross is my station. Thank you all so much for all the inspiration I get from the 88.7 The Cross. God Is Good!” – Debbie in Ruston.
Again … thank you for helping build a stronger, local connection, in support of 88.7 The Cross.
